Rotating the document in the PDF viewer may be sufficient, but if you want to persist the rotation you might want to use pdftk. The following command rotates the whole document to 90 degrees counterclockwise: pdftk in.pdf cat 1-endL output out.pdf.

If a client emailed you a PDF with a combination of pages in portrait and landscape mode, some pages may display at a 90-degree angle. Adobe Reader lets you rotate the view so you can easily read this business document. Reader’s menu commands and keyboard shortcuts include clockwise and counter-clockwise options to help display the content the way you want to see it on the screen.
1.Install Adobe Reader if it is not already installed on your computer (link in Resources).
3.Click the “View” menu, point to “Rotate View” and then click “Clockwise” or “Counterclockwise” to rotate the document 90 degrees.

- If you Command-Plus/Minus with the Pan tool selected, the shortwork will rotate the PDF instead of zooming in/out. Now if you select the Selection tool instead, then try the Command-Plus/Minus shortcut, you will be able to zoom in/out as usual.
Repeat the previous step to rotate another 90 degrees, if necessary.
Tips
- To apply keyboard shortcuts, click in the document and then press “Ctrl-Shift-Plus” simultaneously to rotate clockwise or “Ctrl-Shift-Minus” to rotate counter-clockwise.
- Right-click in the document and then click “Rotate Clockwise” to rotate in 90-degree increments.
